      @Allison_Ivy79 to spell this out for you: I'm specifically referring to a Micahel Pollan quote which, if applied to literally MY great-grandmothers, completely ignores the enormous food safety issues of the processed/manufactured foods they bought in the late 1800s/early 1900s

    @Allison_Ivy79 Michael Pollan*. His quote combines the two fallacies of the appeal to nature and the appeal to antiquity.       @Allison_Ivy79 I'm sorry you misread my statement about my very specific four great grandmothers and the food safety/adulteration of the era/place in which they lived as the extent of my knowledge about world food cultures, history, etc. and that it upset you so much.
