      1. Recalling this morning that when various universities were announcing budget cuts in April/May, multiple places were cutting African-American studies positions.     I’m not the first or only one saying the institution claims re value of Black life and things like Black studies have turned on a dime from extremely disposable to supposedly indispensable.

      And I’m thinking of places like Wake Forest which cut the Anna Julia Coopegr center because the uni leaders couldn’t stand MHP. Of these choices when it came down to COVID. Everything else. I wrote an internal email about it yesterday but I keep thinking of more things
